Finally.

 Weigh in day again.

This morning, the scales went down….finally!!!

After 3 weeks of staying the same, a 700g loss…woohoooo 😊😍😘

It’s been a quiet week for me, nothing much been happening. With daughter being on holidays I’ve had no babysitting duties. So all I’ve done is my work….and in my spare time I’ve been catching up on some scrapbooking of some of my photos. It actually has been a lot of fun. Ahhhh the memories, some tearful ones at times, but lots of happy ones too. I’ve heaps of photos so decided before I forget it’s best I get them organised or my kids will be left with a heap of photos and no idea who or what they are. Hubby’s mum left behind a big pile of albums and more than half of them we have no idea who or what they are.

Another weekly check in….

And another weigh in…..and another sts 🤷‍♀️

No loss in 2 weeks. No idea why. I’m tracking, I’ve followed my plan, I’ve not cheated so I just have to believe in the program and carry on.

My weight has always yo-yo’ed. No one to blame but me 🤦‍♀️

I’m the problem, just can’t help myself. Go so well for weeks, then indulge, then indulge some more, gain weight then think ahhh well I’ll get that off again, will start again next week…so indulge more till “diet” day again. I sabotage myself time and time again.

But I didn’t this time, my body must be playing catch up since I detoxed 2 weeks ago.

I went down to my sisters on Wednesday morning, and caught up with some friends and relatives and stayed the night at my sisters yakking and catching up with her and her hubby. One visit we did was to my Auntie Yvonne. She lives out on the family farm, the farm where my mum grew up. Two of mum’s brothers (one being Aunties husband) worked the farm till they retired and passed it on to Aunties only son.

You can see Aunties house above the waterslide in the 1st pic, 2nd pic is her sons house.

Many a happy time has been spent out the farm over the years. In 2024 it will a 100 years since my grandparents settled on this farm. Already plans are in place to celebrate the centenary.

Thursday after breakfast and lots more yakking we toured the op shops, caught up with more relatives before I had to turn the car north and head home.

One of the 1st things I did on arriving home was check my “Lady of the Night” cactus (succulent). It had 18 flowers this flowering but I had missed most of them opening fully or all together.

My sister had 14 on her plant which was my mum’s, mine is a cutting from it. Wednesday night the last 6 of hers flowered, the perfume on her patio was gorgeous.

I had one flower left so I made sure I was there from bud to fully open.

This flower only lasts the 1 night and when it opens fully it has a perfume that is out of this world.

Isn’t it just gorgeous?

Weigh in

Weigh in day. A tad disappointed that I had a sts …. but ww works and I believe in the program sooooooo onto a new week.

This morning I took the kids up to Macca’s where we were meeting their Dad and his girlfriend. They have them for the next 10 days…..wooohoooooo. As much as I love them, they are noisy, messy and time consuming. Plus Summer is going through a phase of waking up at 2.30am for cuddles….and then she is awake and ready to start the day anywhere from 5am onwards. Very tiring.

Anyways Mum started 3 weeks holiday today too…so no kids for her for 10 days either. She gets to spend some time with Michael without having to worry about caring for them.

So…..all in all 3 weeks without kids. Still have Skye…maybe. She spends ALL her time driving around the countryside with her mates, sister or mum. Not impressed with her atm. She is 18, on a youth allowance from Centrelink, and meant to be looking for work. We are not charging her board atm but have asked she pays us something each fortnight towards the car we helped buy and in return she help out around the home. It’s NOT happening. She has been home 1 night in the last fortnight. And we are expected to look after her pets while she gone. Poor rats so neglected.

Anyways I off to finish cooking dinner.

Will leave you with this…… cuddles with Poppy.

And the journey continues….

New year eve was very quiet….but on the 2nd we travelled down to Manjimup where I was finally able to visit Mum and Dads grave. Had a little chat, cleaned their stones and then headed off to visit my sister and brother in law and then we drove out to speedway ready for a good evenings racing. Sister came out too and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

We took the land cruiser down, so after the racing …. and a few drinks up at the bar with a few of the drivers …. we set up our camp and piled into bed.  Love our set up, 2 minutes to set up and pack up….plus super comfy.

In the morning hubby made the coffee while I used the facilities. Then went to say see ya 👋 to sister and a promise to come down again real soon. Monday is usually a work day for me but I took the day off.

Meandered off home slowly enjoying our time together. Called in at a little cafe and bought a coffee and a pie which was super tasty and filling.

Sooooooo from that you can tell I didn’t restart my ww on Boxing Day….but I can tell you that Tuesday morning I started a 3 day detox.

I weighed myself when I started and I found I had gained 3.8. After the detox I lost 1.8 so I was off to the start I wanted. Detox I found easy and I must say I feel good. Tummy bloat gone and clothes not tight.

New Year Eve these little cuties hatched. Aren’t they the cutest?  Indian Runner ducks are usually not the best parents but  mum“Baby Huey” is doing a not too bad of a job. “Baby Huey” because she is the clumsiest duck ever…how she hasn’t squashed her babies I don’t know, she’s tripped over them so many times.

Kids are on school holidays and that means no daycare for Summer or William. I have them atm and they are driving me ratty!! They fighting, squabbling and just so “into everything naughty”.

Look at little Miss…..told not to go out of my sight…..but she did and found a puddle down near the shed where Poppy trying to grow lawn…..she came back like this….

And that for now is that ☺️

Happy New Year

No New Year resolution for me this year. I read a blog this morning and she said this year she was going to “choose”. I thought it was appropriate for me too. So this coming year everything I do in 2022 will be because I choose too, not because of expectations or want….it will because I choose to do so.

Happy New Year.

I slept it in. I welcomed it in with a coffee this morning.
