Do I need to dress more appropiately??
I was out walking this morning, and this person I don't know from a bar of soap....other than to say "good morning, how you doing?'' as we pass one another...told me I needed to dress more appropiately for my age !!
Wellllllllllllllllll to say the least.....I was stunned!!
This is what I was wearing....with nikes on my feet of course!
Am I flaunting my figure??
Am I showing off too much leg??
Am I showing off too much cleavage??
Hey Jen,
ReplyDeleteWhat a nerve some people have! OMG I think you look fine sweetie, actually i think you look amazing! You should be proud of how you look and you should be able to flaunt it however you feel. I would say personally i think you are dressed exactly how you should be to go for a walk!
Dont let people like that hurt your feelings or upset you sweetie. Remember Berrie's saying "The people that matter dont mind and the people that mind dont matter!!!!"
You keep looking gorgeous anyway you can.
Big Hugs
Mwah

Oh Jen, You're kidding, surely??? I am speechless.. Your walking outfit is fine. I can understand your reaction! Geez there are some weirdos in this world.. I hope you smiled sweetly at her and gave her the bird! lol...
ReplyDeleteFar out Jen - can't believe that - you look just great - not doing the mutton dressed as lamb thing just wearing smart casual clothes but not 'old lady' clothes!!!! Heaven forbid. As a matter of interest what was this person wearing? Reckon whoever it was would have a field day with my friend and I - we like modern - nicely fitting bright colourful things and in fact are often complimented on the way we dress - obviously by more forward thinking people!. Because I have to wear a uniform to work - safety boots, blue pants, shirt with reflective stripes etc to work I really enjoy getting dressed up a bit on the weekend. Am still stunned.......
ReplyDeleteMy goodness... You said you were walking??... Some people have a nerve...
ReplyDeleteYou look GREAT.. Keep wearing it around. You are only thirty plus anyway. The shorts are a very modest length and ideal for walking.
Wow you look great..
BBUT...Don't ask me I think I am older than you and wear "that" red dress Hugs cj xx
Jen, seriously... Some people just amaze me... and you know what I don't care if you were wearing a leotard and g-string... as long as you are comfortable... you have the right to wear what ever you dam well please, without idiots passing comment!
ReplyDeleteYou look just lovely, and dressed the same as anyone who goes walking! Actually I think I wore that same outfit today???
Luv Dee
OH MY GOD!!!!
ReplyDeleteNo way - you are definately not inappropriately dressed.
That's such an awful thing to say...lucky it wasn't said to me as I tell you a few choice words would have been thrown in their direction.
Some people are just plain rude and have no idea.
Please don't listen to them - I think you look just fine. There is nothing wrong with what you were wearing :)
Keep your chin up, and keep looking your gorgeous self!
Love Miss B x
You look great!! I would have had a LOT of trouble keeping my mouth shut if anyone said that to me!! How rude! Yep - and what were they wearing?
ReplyDeleteThanks girls....I honestly was ABSOLUTELY stunned and thought I was hearing things...and she had walked on already before I really realized what she had said...But believe me next time I see her I will be asking what is "inappropriate" about my clothes!!!
ReplyDeleteohhhhhhhhh by the way she was in daggy tracky pants and t-shirt.
I am still shaking my head,
Jen
definatley showing way too much cleavage and perhaps a little too much leg there jen haha kiding
ReplyDeleteI always thought shorts and T-shirt were suitable for all age groups
OMG.....Jen there is absolutly nothing wrong with how you look!!
ReplyDeleteActually, if you wore this with a pair of thongs to meet me for a coffee......it's totally acceptable!
You are only as old as you feel, and hell if you feel like a teenager......then dress like a teenager!! LOL........
Totally unbelievable! You look great! What is that woman's problem? I think you should follow the suggestion to give her the bird! Ha ha ha! Good on you, Jen! Keep doing what you're doing and don't let anyone get you down. You go girl!!! =o)
ReplyDeleteOh Jen isn't it a shame the world is fulled with fruit loops hehe What an absolute nutter...
ReplyDelete1. You look great in what you are wearing.
2. Why does society have to say what people should and should not wear! (Not that there is anything wrong with your outfit)
AND 3. The hospital should really take better care of their patents and not let them wonder out on their own...
I hope you take no notice and you look wonderful
Luv mE xxx
Next time say hell no I'm going to dress outrageously for my age and have a lot of fun doing it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sad person they must be huh, should really feel sorry for them in their tight arse world.
You look great. Flaunt it.
What nerve! the stupid cow......firstly I would have sworn at her in dutch.........then I would have gone MOOOOOOOOOOOOO as she passed me. Take a box of fruitloops with you next time you go walking and if she says anything give them to her.
ReplyDeleteTell her where to get off..how dare people pass comment on others..

ReplyDeleteWhat on earth did she think you should be wearing?
ReplyDeleteYour clothes are spot on and lovely
and very appropriate.
She'd better not pass me wearing my running shorts and skimpy gym top!
Hi Jen,
ReplyDeleteCouldn't not leave a comment! I can't believe someone would say something so rude!!! But you know what I think she must be jealous, she obviously doesn't look as good as you and needed to make herself feel better!
Some people!!! ARRRGGHHH
I think you look fantastic and you get out there and show off your new figure, well done on your amazing loss!
