Time to act........

Another weigh in night and with the weeks I have been having of late I expected something shocking.....but it was only a 100 grams on. I have been trying to lose the holiday over indulgence, but with some stresses I have been having I haven't been able to get my head around counting points consistently. And then when I do...work becomes so physically demanding my body craves more food!! Anyways next week is a monthly ww weigh in so this week it is time to get me head in the right place and do something about it. I head to Melbourne in just over a month.....hopefully by then....nooooooooooo lets rephrase that....I WILL be back under my goal of 68.

Footy night....

I have had a so-so week this week. It has been cold, wet and darn miserable most of the week...and work has been plenty full-on!! A lot of packing, lifting and stacking of 20 kilo bags of vege's...and a stint on the potato harvester, plus packing brocolli....all physical work, espesially the stacking. mmmmmmm who needs a gym when you have weeks like that. I have managed to walk a few days this week as well, didn't this morning as it was pelting down with rain.....and didn't yesterday either as I had to be at work 30 minutes earlier than normal. I know I could have put on a excersise dvd and do that, but nahhhhhhh I think I knew a footy blowout was a coming!! Tomorrow hopefully I won't be a lay in bed and will get my butt wriggling before Shawn and Hannah arrive to drop off Skye for a weekend sleep over with Jenna and Pop. Now food.....up to today it has been reasonable after my wagon fall off last week....but tonight my beloved West Coast Eagles are playing Collingwood.....if they lose they are out of the finals run.....if they win well they live to play another game. ohhhhhhh its a nailbiter and along with my cup of hot choccy I have been nibbling bikkies and a few other unmentionable sweeties most of the evening..... Yep definetly will have to get my butt wriggling tomorrow!!! I have joined a September challenge to see if I can lose this holiday over-indulgence weight I put on....but with one thing or another I just can't get myself together and keep myself together for a full week. Maybe I need to go back to weekly meetings...I don't know. Will wait and see what my scales say when I weigh myself on Monday evening.

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkk the game has just gone into time on.....full time scores were a draw....now we have 2 five minute quarters of extra time, I don't think I can stand it!!

All over now, Collingwood has won ......the Eagles have had their wings clipped and the season for them is over....

Darn it !!

Tried to do a post last night....but for some reason blogger wasn't interested, now it won't even let me delete it (well whats left of it anyways!!) .....sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez!! Ohhhh well, thats the way its been with me this last week, it hasn't been a good week. Emotions all over the place, tired and just "over it" !! So of course me being an emotional eater I had a few days where I fell off the wagon.....but I did manage to climb back on. Had a few real hectic and busy days at work too so along with the excersise I managed during the week I did manage a loss of 200grams...bringing my weight to 69.4.

Weighed in tonight

Decided as we had a special dinner for Fathers Day tonight....and tomorrow night I have an appointment with my Dr at my usual weigh in time .... I would weigh in tonight rather than miss it altogether or weigh Tuesday. I have also joined in on a "At Goal" challenge and want to start off the week on a good foot!! I have had a bit of a bad week, had a few problems with Shawn and I have had the flu and had to take time off work to recover...felt really blahhhhh!! So not a lot of excersise has been done, I haven't made a lot of wise choices with my food, although I haven't over-indulged either. This week its back into it ... and I have decided to make a real effort for a month and lose the extra kilo's I gained on holiday plus even have a go at getting down to my personal goal. In just over 6 weeks I head off to Melbourne to see my darling daughter and I have a big get together with some of my dear friends on the "At Home" forum. Gotta look my bestest!!

Anyways weigh in tonight was 69.6......I stayed the same!!

Happy Fathers Day Poppy.....

The boys called around today to wish their Dad a Happy Day....and of course we got to spoil the grandies, bonus that is ehhh?? Little Ashlee turned 3 while we were up north on holidays so we were able to pamper her a bit extra today too, haven't been able to before now as she has been sick with the flu.

Also got some exciting news today as well.....Paul is to be a Daddy again, Luke, Caitlin and Ashlee will have a little brother or sister...so granchild #10 is on the way !!!

Back into routine again....

I have slipped right back into my usual routine again after my month away......went straight back to work, got back into my hill walking routine....and I went off maintenance points and started counting them for losing again. Not as strictly as I could have but enought to bring my weight down from my over indulgent holiday.

On the weekend I went up and visited my grandies as the weekend before we come home little Thomas turned a year old. Simon and Tracey had a little get together but as we were still enjoying the sunshine we did miss out. Anyways I took him up a Bob the Builder scooper....and ohhhhh he loved it. He is such a little cutie....and he so loves to be cuddled. Jessica proudly showed off two loose teeth, Zoe was her usual full on 100 mile an hour self till telly was turned on (then she disappeared) and Sheymus was stroppy that Thomas wouldn't share his scooper when he has to share his !!!

Shawn and Hannah came down on the weekend too. He is his usual contrary moody self....the demon weed still very much a part of his life. Little Jaydene learned to crawl properly, and sit up while we were away as well as push up 2 little teeth. Skye says she is noisy!! ohhhh these babies grow up all too quickly.

I saw Caitlin and Ashlee earlier in the week as they live just down the road...poor little mites are sick with a nasty flu. Luke is due to come down and visit his Dad soon, so will look forward to catching up with him then.

Anyways I weighed in tonight at ww (my official monthly meet) and yay am happy to report I came in under 70 kilo's so was in the 2 kilo's over my goal that I am allowed before I have to pay for meeting. I was 69.6 so counting points and getting back into routine I was able to lose 1.9 since I have been home.

I'm back, holiday is over....

And its back to work for me tomorrow......

I had the most relaxing holiday, it was so great we ended up extending it by another 8 days. Most every day hubby and I spent it either fishing, crabbing, crayfishing, walking on the beach or just sitting back at our camp reading and relaxing or catching up with friends. We used to live in Onslow and some friends of ours still live there so it was good catching up with them. A couple of them ran the caravan park restaruant at the park where we camped and we spent many a night there sitting around eating and catching up on all the years...

Anyways will catch up with you all soon.....but before I go I have just weighed myself....am 71.5 ... A gain of nearly 4 kilo's but hopefully with routine restored tomorrow it will soon gone.

Another monthly ww weigh in

Another week has flown by.....I thought this week would go soooooooo slow but I have been so busy at work and home the days have gone quickly. I received a bonus and had Friday off work, some foam cartons that we pack our iced broccolli into arrived with no lids...so yayyyyyyyy no work!!

Saturday morning I braved the dreadful weather and went down town and had a haircut and colour before Simon bought his awesome foursome down to spend time with Jenna and Pop while he and Tracey went and laybyed some chrissy presents while they were on special. Sunday Shawn came down with his little girls and I got to play out in the puddles with Skye, vrooom vrooooom !!! Shawn is happy and loving his new job....it keeps him occupied and hopefully off the cannabis. I can breathe easy for a little while, espesially as we head off up North on Thursday morning looking for some sun, sand, fishing and relaxing.

Weigh watchers monthly weigh in tonight....weight 67.8 ....up 500grams from last week and 300grams from last month ww weigh...... but I still under goal so really happy about that. Hopefully I can keep myself under reasonable control while on hols...

Another week has floated by.....work at the "funny farm" has been full on as per usual....doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to get it all done. I spend more than enough time there now, I leave home here just after 7am and finish when the work is done....usually at about 5pm but quite often later.

Kids are all fine....I may have my daughter home for a little while....welllllllll in WA anyways. She has applied for a fly in, fly out job up in the mines in the Pilbara. Her and her b/f both have reasonable jobs but just can't seem to get ahead and save or put money in the bank. But they want to buy a house, get married and have a family and hopefully if Kylee gets the job the good wages offered will finally see them saving something towards their goals.

Shawn, my problem child....has started work again, just at the right time I think too. He was starting to get moody and agitatated again and when he gets like that he begins using cannabis too much and all the family then suffer. His baby is just gorgeous...she is starting to crawl, or slugging as I call it as thats what she looks like as she moves along... but she gets around quicker by rolling to where she wants and ohhh she has just got her first 2 teeth.

Little Thomas is running.....just about bypassed the crawling and walking...did those all very briefly!!! He turns 1 the weekend after I get back from holidays...

All the others are driving mums crazy whilst on school holidays.....

On the home front hubby and I spent some time getting things ready for our trip away. We leave for Onslow and 2 weeks of sun, fishing, friends and relaxing sometime next week. I finish work next Tuesday 24th(as does hubby), Wednesday 25th we will load the boat and 4x4 up and hopefully Thursday 26th we will be cruising up the highway.

On the weight front, I weighed in tonight at home and surprise surprise I only gained a 100grams from last week....am now 67.3. Am happy with that ,,,, Next week is my ww weigh in.

Well here we are again, another week gone by...

I have had a quite a good week, excersised every day...sometimes only 30 minutes mainly due to the cold and wet days we have been having. Have noticed thou at 6am when I walk the weather is at it best, its not as cold then, the cold seems to come in later when the sun rises ... (at about 7 to 7.30am) ...if it does rise that is !!

Not much been happening in my little world....mainly work, and more work. My brother (thats him in the pic with me) bought my mum up to Bunbury on Saturday to buy her birthday pressie from him.....but he ended up getting a phone call and had to go to Perth...so yep Jen was left to take mum home, another trip down to Manjimup. This time it wasn't raining, blowing a gale and storming and I got to see my sister....only for an hour or so .... but that was better than not at all.

It's my weeekly weigh in night....and yayyyyyyyyyy I had a good week....the scales were down, 67.2.....thats 600grams down from last week. Have one more home weigh then go for another monthly ww weigh....then I am off on holiday....off to find some sunshine, sand, sea, fishing and relaxing....yeaaaaaaa heading north for a couple of weeks....

Did I say??

Did I say I seemed to be finding maintenance easy?? Yeahhhhh I did last week and you know what?? I think I used that to self-sabotage myself coz I have spend most of the week over-indulging myself. Don't know if it was the cold and wet days, or work where it has been real physical hard yakka. Whatever it was for most of the week I overate. I was just so hungry after work, that it seemed if it was in sight and not tied down, I ate it!! And because I was so tired, and it was wet, I didn't excersise as much as I usually do either.
But with the help of my hubby, the forums, my friends I did manage to finish the week back on track. The result being now that I have just weighed in (at home) and had a small gain of 300 grams (am 67.8 now)......so hey I got out of that better than I thought I would.


A picture of my mum this week to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!!! My dear Mum turned 78 yesterday. I risked the shocking weather forecasted yesterday to travel the 1 1/2 hours to spend a few hours with her before the wind picked up and it started raining. I had to leave Mum and race the storm home but ohhhh it was worth it to see Mum so happy....and I made it home before the storm set in.

2nd official weigh in

Last night I went to my 2nd weigh in since I achieved LTM.....its great I only have to weigh officially once a calender month now. I am happy maintaining, I seem to be finding it easy. I would like to eventually get to my personal goal of 65kilo's but I am in no hurry. I am happy doing what I am at the moment....and not ready to get into lose mode again yet. I spent over 18 months losing weight, and have enjoyed these last 3 months maintaining !! I have had so much encouragement from all my friends and family since I made goal and LTM espesially from my online friends...and that includes all you lovely blogger friends!! THANK YOU !!! How can I fail with all that support?? It's really great as I thought once I got to goal and LTM people would think I don't need the support anymore.....but believe me I do, it helps soooooo much !!!

Anyways last night I weighed in at 67.5 which was 800grams down from last month weigh in ..........and 100grams down from my scales.....

I met Fiona

On the weekend Fi (FIONADWYER) from the At Home forum travelled down to Australind to spend a week with her sister, she flew in from sunny Brisbane on Thursday. It was great that she took time out to spend an hour or so with me having a coffee and chatting. What a absolutely delightful friendly lady she was....thanks Fi...it was great, hope I have the pleasure of catching up with you again sometime in the future.

I went to see my Dr last week and found that I had a all clear with my colonscopy, other than a bowel proplapse (which I knew I had, who wouldn't know ya had one of those!! ) does need to be surgically repaired sooner than later. My Dr is making an appointment with the gynaecologist for that and is also going to recommend they do a hysterectomy at the same time as I still have my unwelcome visitor!! Anyways will see what happens when I have the appointment. Four years ago I had the exact same ops, or was meant to but they considered a repair to be done instead of a hysterectomy....so after a chat with the gynaeno WHEN I get the appointment I will know more and when !!

Next week is my next official weigh in....tonight I weighed in on my scales and am 67.6 which is 300 grams up on last week. This doesn't worry me, since LTM I have been up and down and all over the place, but heyyyyyy that doesn't worry me either, as long as I stay at 68k's (goal weight) or under I will be happy.

I weighed in tonight on my own scales, and was 67.3....thats .7 up on last week, but that is to be expected with me recovering from my 24 hour fast for the colonscopy and ohhhhhhhhhhh and the most dddddddddeliciousssssssssssssss meal out on Friday night where I ate my all time favourite dessert Pavola for the first time since I started my ww journey....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm yum!!!

There was 3 in the bed....

Another week has gone by, and despite all it has gone by rather quickly. TTOM is still with me, had now have them since 13th May with only one day and a nights respite. Couldn't get into my Dr last week but saw the clinic sister at the surgery and she seems to think it could be going on and on as it may be my last. Ohhhhh joy......can I live in hope???? I do have to go to the Dr at the end of this week as I had a colonscopy (YUK!) on Thursday, thankfully no biopsies were taken but still have to go in to get results. If I still have my unwelcome visitor he can sort that out too!!! I had to fast for 24 hours before the colonscopy procedure which made me feel rather ill but I recovered from the procedure quite well. Hubby took the afternoon off work to stay with me to make sure I had no side effects, but I slept all arvo anyway. I went back to work on Friday to light duties only thou. Have had an attack of the hungries on and off since the procedure, but haven't indulged in too much junk! Excersise has been good except for the Thursday and Friday. Been doing 30 to 45 minutes on work days before work and on the weekends I do anywhere from 45 to 60 minutes plus.

Had Simon and Tracey's 3 eldest on the Saturday and for the night. Won't be long and I'll be able to have little Thomas too, he is nearly walking. (See pic) Geeeeeeeee it only seems like yesterday I was watching him being born, where does time go??

Jessica, Zoe and Sheymus were a delight to have. On the Saturday we shopped for dinner ingredients as we decided to have make pizza's using English muffins as the bases. (thanks for the idea Berrie) We had mess from one end of the kitchen to the other but it was heaps of fun and the pizza's were so yummy. They all went to bed very tired, happy and with full tummy's!

At 4am little Sheymus (2.5 years) came wandering into our bedroom and said I can't find my mummy. I just held out my arms and said will I do, come into Jenna and Pop's bed for cuddles. He was in and cuddled up before he finished saying yeaaaaaaaaaaah. Boy, 3 in the bed and the little one said........ Remember that song? I do now! I'd forgotten how much room a little body can take up, and how much they wriggle and squirm. But it was so sweet having him all cuddled up to me. Everytime I moved his little hand would come out and hang on to me.

I couldn't move over too far as hubby was sick with a flu virus and was so feverish, achy and sore....didn't want to disturb him too much.

Enough rambling...but I did have a very enjoyable weekend with the grandies. I love every minute I spend with them, but ohhhhhhhh I so love to hand them back.

Just weighed in on my scales this evening.....Weight ... 66.6. Thats 1.7 down from last week.

First official weigh in

Tonight I weighed in at my meeting for the first time since achieving lifetime membership. Wasn't meant to weigh in but next week Monday is a public holiday, plus being the end of the month I now have most of June to go throu before next weigh in...as I now only have to weigh in once a calender month. Anyways...I weighed in at 68.3...a gain of 300grams from last ww weigh in and a gain of a kilo since last week from my scales!!! TTOM is giving me a real hard time, I have now been going for over 2 weeks....and it has been quite draining.

Its been a long week, work has been so busy and its going to get busier. Had an engagement party in Geraldton to go too in a few weeks, even went out and bought a nice pair of black trousers and jacket...but now we find we can't go. Hubby has eye specialist appointment on the day we were going to be coming back, he has a growth growing over the pupil of his eye and needs to have surgery. Well we could go, but the drive is 6 hours there and 6 hours back, and with hubby's eye the way it is, we decided to sends our apologies. We will be heading up north on a fishing trip in late July/early August, if eye surgery doesn't postpone that, so we will call in and spent time with the happy couple then.

Received in the mail my lifetime card and an official letter from Weigh Watchers congratulating me on my achievement. It was great to be acknowledged.

Another week over....

Another week as a LTM gone.....still finding it a bit scary but have made the decision NOT to go into weekly/fortnightly weigh ins as I was first going to. I made the decision to concentrate on me and learn to do this on my own, make it part of my lifestyle and NOT as a focus and just go to the ww meeting once a month. The beginning of this last week was a shocker, it was so cold, it was wet and miserable, ttom of the month arrived just to make it worse and I had a real attack of the hungries for a few days. Yep I did panic and wonder how I could do that to myself, but I realised that a couple of bad days were not going make me gain all the weight I had lost, so I put all that I had learnt these last 18 months or so into practise. So out come out the planner and I increased the intensity of my excersise..... Sooooooooo yayyyyyyyy I was happy when I hopped on the scales for my "at home" weigh in and found I had lost another 200 grams from the week before.

On the weekend I had three of the grandies come and visit me and Pop. Luke lives with his mother and Paul only has him every 2nd or 3rd weekend so it always great to get a cuddle from him. He is 11 now but luckily still likes a cuddle...

No weighing in ...

I rushed home from work tonight, had a shower and was starting to get into my weigh in clothes and remembered YAYYYYYY I don't have to go to meeting and weigh in. So I weighed on my own scales ..... I know they are only about 100 grams different to my meeting ones....and found I had lost 500 grams. That was great as I am now UNDER goal weight again....

I had a great Mothers Day yesterday....my brother bought my mum up, I saw all my boys and their families......and my daughter rang me. We all went out for the morning, then came back and had a huge bbq...I made meat and vegetable patties as my contribution .... they were yummy.

YES...... I am enjoying LTM ..... the journey continues.....

Happy Birthday Hubby

My dear hubby has a birthday today....won't say how old he is but he is older than me....lol

No celebrations for him, just a nice meal and a few glasses of wine and a quiet night at home. All the kids either rang or called around after work....

I gave him his pressie, a map card for his GPS, so when we go on hols up north in August he'll be able to take me to all the good fishing spots...method in my madness you see.....

Met up with Janinne again

Today I had the pleasure of meeting up with Janinne again. We first met online on the forums way back in 2005 when we started our ww journeys, then met up for real in Mandurah when Janinne and her hubby travelled over from Victoria for business in May 2006....Janinne had not long made goal then.

Today they were over in West Oz again for business and travelled down to Bunbury where we all caught up again....this time I was the one who had just made goal....

Lovely catching up again Janinne.....hopefully the next time I travel to Victoria we can arrange our schedules to catch up...

Happy Birthday Luke

My eldest granson Luke is 11 today....geeeeeeee how times flies. Can still remember the day very vividly that he was born, that was awesome for us, our first born granchild.

Unfortunately the relationship between Paul (our eldest son) and Luke's mother failed when he was a baby, but lucky for all of us he still does get to spend a fair bit of time with his dad.

Babysat grandies

On Friday morning I had Jessica, (5) Zoe (4) and Sheymus (2.5) dropped off for me to babysit. Yep Jen, took a day off from the funny farm. Daddy and Mummy and bubba Thomas had to go to Perth for a wedding and weren't coming home till Saturday after lunch.

So after daddy and mummy drove off, we took all our pillows and special cuddle toys and put them into their beds....and then went down the street shopping for juice and breakfast cereal ready for the morning. mmmmm school holidays isn't it so the shopping centre was full of activities for them, this day a huge bird display. So I had 3 kids all wanting to go in different directions....but I coped, and not once had to chase after one or the other. It was their Mummy's birthday today so we even managed to find a lovely little candle with hearts all over it for the kids to give to her on her return....and birthday card with glitter all over it too!!

After a very unsettled night for me where I was up and down to the 2 girls with one thing or other, poor Jessica has a dose of the flu and was very chesty....we managed to have breakfast, get dressed and head off to the park for an hour or so to feed the ducks and play on the swings....

ahhhhhhhhhh Daddy and Mummy picked up the grandies and hour or so ago and Jenna now has her feet up and relaxing.

Pop and Jenna loved the visit and spending time with them and it bought back memories of the days with our kids...but do so enjoy the peace and quiet now that they have gone. Love the visits, but do so love saying cyaaaaaaaaa!!!

Caitlin is a big 5 today....and wanted her Jenna and Pop to give her a Bratz doll for her birthday.....so thats what we got our big girl, plus a Bratz bag to put her her stuff in and a dvd to watch tonight when she is all worn out after her exciting day......

Easter Weekend...

On the Saturday morning of the long weekend hubby and I packed up and headed off for a weekend away. It was great...2 days of just me and him, no worries, no cares....just relaxation!! We had fabulous weather on the Saturday, even the evening stayed warm which was a bonus as we took in a speedway meeting as that nights entertainment. Yep, my foot was itching and wanted to race, the heart was pumping. enjoyment plus as far as I am concerned!!! The skies opened up early Sunday morning, but did we care...nahhhhhhhhhhhhh....we just carried on driving and sightseeing. Some of the places we visited we hadn't been too since we were kids, yep a long time ago!!I didn't count points, ate when I was hungry, treated myself to a couple of devonshire teas....scones, jam and cream, yummmmmmmmmy!! Left the choccies alone, welllllllllllll nearly alone....did have 4 tiny wee little ones on Sunday evening after we arrived home....tired but happy.

On Monday....I caught with the eldest sons kids and took them around their easter baskets....

Ohhhhhh by the way...remember my blog post about appropriate clothing when walking. Wellllllllllll on Saturday morning before we left on our travels I went walking....this time in daggie trackies and t-shirt and I happened upon my "friend" !! I stopped her and asked her if I was dressed appropriately today...and she said nooooooooooo......when I walk my underwear shows !!! I just looked at her and told her to join the real world. Now can you tell me how many people check out whether the outline of peoples underwears shows when they are out walking???

Easter Break

I am feeling a little down, it just seems of late for every good that happens in my life it seems to be followed by what seems to be half a dozen bad things. I am still on a high about finally reaching goal but since thats happened I have lost my little Missy, my sons moods are swinging more and he is getting physcotic and I am getting quite scared as to what is going to happen with him. But until he helps himself no-one can do anything, all we can do is sit and wait and hope.







My hubby and I were meant to be taking off for the whole of the easter break, but where I wanted to go to has been put off. The 4x4 has a few mechanical problems which won't allow the longer trip. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeez it's always the way....the hubby is a mechanic too!!! So we are now going in the morning on a shorter trip and will come back on the Sunday unless I can convince hubby to stay a little longer. Will see what the weather does and how relaxed we get. We both need the break and time together to just sit around and just try to catch a fish. Not worried if I don't....have packed a few books to read. And have just seen advertised on the tv that there is going to be a speedway meeting on the Saturday night not far from where we will be camping.....yayyyyyyy thats Saturday night organised. I love my speedway and really miss racing my car....sometimes I wish I hadn't retired, would have liked to have seen what I could do now I am slimmer, fitter and have heaps of energy and stamina.

Bye Bye Missy

I had just got home from work when I had a phone call from one of my boys to say my little Missy girl had been run over today and had been taken to heaven. Missy has been my little cat for the last 2 years. Kylee gave her to me on her first visit home after she moved to Melbourne. Every night while sitting up here on the pc she would sit up on the stool and talk to me as I typed and browsed the net. She survived a snake bite last summer...that was real scary, thought I had lost her then. Then for some reason she decided she would like to go walking with me of a morning....many a morning I would have to pick her up and carry her back across the road back to home and lock her inside. She found on her escapes across the road a lovely white male tom cat, who loved to play as much as she did. But unfortunately she escaped one too many times and tonight my little Missy is now playing with the angels.
